European Football Association has announced the rescheduled date for semi-finals and finals of both the Europa league and champions league games. According to reports, the Europa league final would take place on August 21, 2020 at 21:00 CET while on the other hand, the champions league final would take place on August 23, 2020 at CET 21:00. On the contrary, the quarter finals and semi-finals would be played in one leg only, leaving the competition to be completed within a two-week sprint in August.
Four rounds of the round 16 second leg needs to be completed at their appropriate venues and is expected to be played behind closed doors. Four of the teams have secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League Quarter finals of which were Paris Saint German,
Athletico Madrid, RB Leipzig and Atalanta.
The ferocious Athletico Madrid knocked out the defending champions Liverpool, shortly after the competition came to a halt in Mid-March. The final showdown would be played in Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
