Manchester City Football Club seeks to head to Court in pursuit of uplifting the two year ban from European Football. UEFA Club Financial Control Body (UCFB) had city banned and fined £25m on February 14, 2020 due to the breach of rules and regulations of Financial Fair Play (FFP) between 2012 and 2016. The Citizens believed to have been unrightly slapped with a two years ban and considers the Independent judiciary for proper adjudication and hearing. The appeal will be heard by three CAS lawyers which would last for days until the final verdict. Meanwhile, if the current Uefa champions league campaign ends before the final verdict, Manchester city will be unable to participate in any European competition next season. Given the vehemence with which they have rejected the allegations levelled against them, the club owner Sheikh Mansour and the manager Pep Guardiola both knew that if this ban is upheld on the long run, this would bring to an end a nine years successful champions league participation with fifth placed bitter rivals on the EPL table Manchester United already set to replace them in next season's competition.
