Provisional Restart Date Of The Premier League Agreed And Subjected To Safety Measures.

EPL returns June 17 live at Etihad.

The English premier league football is set to return on wednesday, June 17 as agreed to by the premier league shareholders. The league would kick start with the games in hand before the Covid-19 pandemic strike. Manchester City welcomes Arsenal in a massive comeback encounter while Aston villa locks horn together with Sheffield United after the loss of EFL silverware to the defending champions in March 2020. The full round of matchday fixtures would resume June 19-21 with series of matches to be played week in and week out with proper preventive measures to be taken.
The top five leagues excluding the French Ligue 1 who already had their season cancelled would return in subsequent weeks with the Spanish La Liga to resume on June 11 and Serie A, June 20. This is a great news for Liverpool Football Cub as being the best club so far as this season is concerned.  As a matter of fact, the club would have been crowned champions by now if not for the pandemic outbreak 3months ago. Liverpool has so far managed only one defeat at the hands of Watford.  Troy Deeney Watford's Captain has described the feeling of beating the best club in Europe this season as one of the most remarkable feeling in his entire career.  Speaking to the press he jokingly said "i do feel sorry for Liverpool and their players but in terms of integrity there is no way you could say this is a viable competition because it's still going to be year spoiled by pandemic, so it's not going to be the year that Luverpool won the league being the best team. Its like running a 20 odd miles marathon then stopping for at least two months before sprinting the last lap and saying to yourself that oh, that was a good time". Despite Troy's Deeneys recent assertions, prior to this moment the hearts of the Liverpool fans were beating heavily at a very high speed for the fear of the season being cancelled having heard of the Eredivisie and ligue 1.
It is true that Coronavirus has brought some changes to the footballing world ever since the pandemic broke out. At first handshakes were banned thereafter some matches got postponed, two England clubs Manchester United and Wolverhampton wanderers played behind closed doors and lastly the emergency meeting that actually got the season suspended on April 15.
